Losing a colleague as kind as Úna has left an indelible void in our hearts and our workplace. Her vibrant spirit and boundless enthusiasm to always look after the children in her care was infectious, bringing light and joy to every child that she worked with. Úna worked with us at St John the Baptist BNS since 2017. She was an SNA in mainstream classes and was also instrumental with Katie Cowan and Karen Butler in establishing our first Special Class for children with Autism – Seomra Na Rí.
She has left a lasting impact on all of us who had the privilege to work with her at St John the Baptist BNS. Her absence is deeply felt, her memory will forever inspire us to cherish each moment and strive for the kind of passion and dedication she portrayed in our school.
To her beloved husband, Tom, her cherished children, Sarah and TJ, her mother Peg, sisters Anna and Mary, parents-in-law John and Bridget and her extended family, we express our sincere sympathies.
