St John the Baptist Boys NS, Cashel 7-6 Fethard 2-2 Leahy Park, Cashel, 1pm, 13/10/2010 Our U13s overcame a gallant Fethard side in our second round match of the Cumann na mBunscol championship on a scoreline of 7-6 to 2-2. Played at home and refereed by Oisín Ryan, all 28 players on the panel got a half. Conditions were excellent for October and everybody was up for the challenge of cementing a place in the team to play Moycarkey in the game that will decide the group. Daniel Wade was showing well at full forward and grabbed a hat-trick of goals in the first half. Ross Bonnar grabbed a brace when he came on for the second half. Dean Walsh and Ciarán Quinn were safe as houses in the half back line in the first half. All in all, it was a satisfying days work. The effort from all the boys is excellent and we look forward to full attendance at training in the days and weeks to come.
