U13 hurlers victorious in Killenuale
By Alex, Daniel and Jack 6th Class On the 31st of March the under 13 hurling team went to Killenaule for their first championship game. The boys arrived at 12.15p.m. The match started at 1.00 p.m. From the second the ball was thrown in, the whole team worked hard and got quick goals from Jack Price, Colin Ryan, and Patrick Fahy. Daniel Wade and Conn Bonnar knocked over points as well to leave the score at half time 6-7 to 0-1. No changes were made at half time. As the half started again you could see that we were clearly dominating. Patrick Fahy had an unbelievable second half leaving him with a total of 5 goals and 3 points. Then changes started to be made, where every sub got a chance to play. The subs also added to our victory. Despite our great victory Killenaule sneaked in a late goal. It was a great win and the final score was 12-14 to 1-1. THE TEAM ON THE DAY WAS: Adam Skeffington, Brandon Duffy, Lee Barry, Alex Marshall, Brian Fitzpatrick, Ciaran Quinn, Colin Ryan (capt), Conn Bonnar, Jamie O’Keefe, Patrick Fahy, Daniel Wade, Jack Price, and Brian Davern.
