U11 Roinn 'B1' Blitz - A Captain's Perspective

25th Nov 2011

Words by James Laffey On Monday the 14th of November, the under elevens played a football blitz in Leahy Park. The teams that were there were Clonmel Gaelscoil, Thurles Gaelscoil, Grange and Templemore school. The first team we played was Gaelscoil Durlas. They put up a good challenge but the Cashel team came out on top. The next team we played was Templemore.  .Their team put up a great battle but we fought fire with fire and we beat them. Our third match was Grange. There goalie was very good so it was hard to score. That didn't stop us from winning. Our last match was a tough one too.  We knew that if we won we would come out as group winners.  We came out victorious. We won all are matches and we brought the Roinn B1 under elevens shield back to St John the Baptist Boys School.  I was very proud.
