U11 Blitz Our U11s played their gaelic football blitz in Durlas Og pitch on Friday the 15th of October. They played against Gaelscoil (Durlas), Pouldine and Templemore. They drew their first game, Pouldine were too strong in the second and then they lost by one point against Templemore in their final game. For many boys, this was their first competitive game for the school and we are delighted with their efforts which could easily have been rewarded with a county semi final appearance if luck was on their side. A special word of thanks to Mr Harty and to Ms Costigan for taking care of this team over the last couple of months. Their dedication in training the boys after school is very much appreciated by the boys and all the staff. Most pleasing was that the boys were back out training on Wednesday after school even they though they are out of this year's competition. They can now look forward to playing against each other in the school gaelic football league.
