Stories from Rang 3/4 School Tour
By Sami Saifullah 3rd class went on their school tour on 24th May. They went to the Delta soccer Dome! They left at 8:30, and got there around 9:50. When they went there they met the teacher of the day. Her name was Sinead. She took them around for the day. First they went on the K.M.X.. It was very big. They had a small lunch after the first activity. After 10 minutes they went on the obstacle course, which was like a bouncy castle and they needed to go through around the obstacles. After that they went on the bungee, and it looked like very fun but no one liked it! They had a big lunch for 15 minutes. Sinead divided all the children into groups. One group did zorbing and other group did the wrecking ball, that was time when fun had started. When the second group were doing the wrecking ball, Sinead gave 4 teams, blue, yellow red and white. The white team won. We had to go back home after that. That was the best school tour so far the boys have had. By Christopher Corbally Maher On our school tour we went to Delta soccer dome. Everybody enjoyed it. I loved it. I wish I could go again. It was the best place I ever went to. If you went you would understand how fun it was. I hope you will go sometime. I know you will enjoy it. For advise go on line to find out about It. Ask anyone in 3rd or 4th class how fun It was they will tell you trust me I know. By Andrew Burke On the 24th of May 3rd and 4th class went on their school tour to the Delta soccer dome in Limerick. I woke up that morning and the sun was shining,it was a beautiful day. I knew we were going to have a great time. We arrived at school at 8.30am to meet our bus. Everyone was so excited. We all got on the bus to head off and some of our Mams were there to wave us off. All the way down to Limerick we talked about what we would be doing for the day. Once we arrived we gathered in a hall where we had a drink and got changed, Then our leader Sinead brought us to our first activity of the day. We had to climb through ropes and reach the top of a slide where we could slide down. This was great fun. For the rest of the day we did loads more activities which included a spider tower, bungee jumping, zorbing and kart racing. My favourite activity was zorbing. This is a big huge ball that you strap yourself inside of and someone pushes you down a big hill while you are in the ball. It is very exciting. At our last activity we had a great surprise when we saw Paddy Stapleton who plays for the Tipperary team. He signed Ethan and Conor’s cast. He was very nice to us all. It was the best day ever and I would like to thank Mrs Callanan,Mrs Carroll and Mrs Butler for bringing us .We were so tired after our day that some of us even fell asleep on the bus on our way home. It was a day to remember!
