It was a tense exciting final between 5th and 6th classes today as the winner of the school Spelling Bee was decided. Nineteen boys form 5th and 6th started on Easy spellings, continued to Medium spellings and finally the Hard spellings. There were seventeen rounds before Conor Wheston was the eventual winner. Mrs Perdue and Mrs Carroll were really impressed with the standard of spellers and Conor is wished all the best as he represents St John the Baptist BNS in the County Final which will be held in Cashel on April 23rd. Thanks to Mr Molloy and Mrs Callanan for all their work in preparing the boys for the school final.
