15 boys from fifth and sixth class joined Mrs Slattery and I at the FAI Five A Side Schools Competition in Newhill , Littleton on Tuesday 24 March. Newhill is the home of St Kevins FC.
All the boys were fantastically well behaved both on and off the pitch. It was a pleasure to bring them and they represented the school in a very positive manner.
On the pitch, we had a mixed bag of results with a variety of wins, draws and losses the order of the day. There were some exceptional performances from the boys and a lot of talent was on display.
Mrs Slattery aka “Jose Mourhino” proved herself to be a very competent and enthusiastic coach and it is alleged that at once stage she was seen sliding across the grass after Jakub Krescanko bagged a goal for her charges!
We stopped in Littleton for chocolate on the way home, a deserving treat for a group of super young men.
