Science Fair Report and Pics
By Ross Bonnar and Adam Skeffington
On Thursday the 12th of January, the sixth class students of St John The Baptist Cashel went on a trip to the R.D.S. We had to be at school at 7am and the bus left at 7.15am. The R.D.S was huge; it was split into primary and secondary sections. Beside the primary science room there was an eco zone and beside the secondary room there was a place called "The World of Science and Technology". We looked around the science and technology room and got lots of free pens and pencils. We went back then and set up our project. Our project was on lung capacity. We all took turns in at explaining our projects to people. At 2.30pm we went to see the primary science show which contains lots of experiments. At 3 o’ clock, we saw robot wars. While that was going on three boys got taken out to collect a glass award and we were all happy. It was a brilliant day. At the R.D.S we saw Michael D Higgins, Ryan Tubridy, Evylen Cuzack, Paul Walsh, Gerry Adams and Brian O’Driscoll. We also met the presenter of the News 2Day programme which we watch in assembly every monring. Laisvunas was interviewed by him! Thanks to Mr O' Sullivan and Mr Morrissey for helping us on this brilliant day.
