Polish Day At The Library 26 March

Extracts from stories the boys wrote about Rang 3's recent visit (26 March) to the library as part of the #PolskaEire celebrations. Compiled by Mr Ryan.  Written by the boys in Rang 3 under the guidance of Ms Walsh.  

""We played hopek which means hopscoth and we did a wordsearch.  We ate salata and pierogi which means salad and potates.  I also learned how to make snowflakes."

"I learned how to say goodbye and hello in Polish."

"We made some things with paper (Polish art) and we learned Polish words"

"I enjoyed learning about the different Polish animals and eating and drinking Polish food."

"I learned that there are over 38 million people living in Poland and around 150,000 Polish people living in Ireland."

"I learned about Polish money.  They use zloty there not the euro."
