Our Trip To Dublin Zoo
By Laisvunas and Matthew Rang 6 On the 7th of June the flower Club went to Dublin Zoo as they had won a poster competition for National Strawberry Week. The school had also chosen a few boys to come along with them. We left Cashel at 8:45am. It was rainy and cloudy in Cashel, and it was the same up in Dublin. But the weather didn’t dampen our spirits. When we arrived at the zoo, we went inside to see a presentation about strawberries, and also got to taste some. We also got to read a book with facts about strawberries, and recipes for fruit-related dishes. After that, our guide took us to the reptile house. We saw lots of different reptiles. We even got to see the zoo keepers feeding the crocodiles. They fed them with big rats! There was great excitement when the zoo keepers brought out a snake and almost every boy got to touch. After we left the reptile house we went around the zoo and looked at several different animals such as some types of tiger and wolves. After a little while we went to see some elephants and they elephants were fed. Straight afterwards we went to the South American House and saw different types of monkeys. Afterwards we went to the restaurant and got chips and chicken nuggets. After we finished our meal we went to the place where we got the presentation about the strawberries and soon after wards it was time to go home. Some of the boys went to the shop to get some snacks before we went home. After that, we went to the bus, and we’re in Cashel at around 6:15pm. We had a great day.
