The whole school community at St John the Baptist BNS were very disappointed to hear about the sad passing of our previous school Principal, Martin Pattwell.
Martin first came to Cashel in 1975 as a teacher in the Junior Boys National School on the Green. He remained in that position when the school moved to the Old Road in 1983. Following the retirement of John Knightly in 1993, he became Principal until 2001 when on the amalgamation of the junior and senior boys schools he became Principal of the amalgamated St John the Baptist Boys Schools.
We would like to extend our sincere sympathies to Martin’s wife Elma, daughter Aoife Tierney, sons Darragh, Brian and Colm and his extended family.
Reposing at Devitt’s Funeral Home this Tuesday evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday in St. John the Baptist Church, Cashel at 12.00 noon followed by burial in Rosegreen Cemetery.
