Mary Redmond has been working on the Cahir Road as a lollipop lady since this school opened back in 1983. Yesterday, Mary retired. Our school and the girls' school welcomed Mary yesterday to acknowledge her fantastic contribution to keeping several generations of Cashel boys and girls safe. The boys and girls asked Mary many questions about her life as a lollipop lady, they presented her with flowers and cards and they also gave her a birthday cake as she turned 65 years old yesterday. We all wish Mary the very best in her retirement and thank her for her dedication over the past 30 years. Quite a remarkable achievement!
