A number of entrepreneurs founded the Young Entrepreneur Programme and later the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. These entrepreneurs believed that eleven and twelve year old pupils have not been impacted by the points race. They are open, creative and quick to learn. That’s why they chose to focus their energy on scaling this initiative throughout Ireland. During JEP, pupils assess their skills and they start working in different teams with specific areas of expertise – finance, marketing, design & production, sales and storytelling. Our Sixth Class held their Showcase Day at Assembly on Friday. The boys produced an advertisement to entice the younger boys to purchase their product and make some profit which they will use to purchase hoodies. Orders for their signs/hangers will be taken next Friday - one sign for €2 or 3 for €5.
