Grandparents Day In Junior Infants
The boys from our two Junior Infant classes welcomed their grandparents to school today as part of Catholic Schools Week. Grannies and Grandads came from near and far to be with the boys for this special occassion. Two grandparents even travelled all the way from the Kingdom of Kerry!
The boys sang songs and recited nursery rhymes for our special guests. They then played games with them such as marbles and jigsaw puzzles. One grandparent played the guitar much to the delight of our boys.
After all that hard work, the boys and their grandparents enjoyed a well deserved treat. Chocolate for the boys and tea, scones & biscuits for the grandparents.
A special word of thanks to class teachers Mrs Kathleeen Bane and Ms Caitríona Crosse for their work in organising this very special occassion.
It was evident that the boys bring great joy to their grandparents and vice versa.
We are very proud of the boys as they showed lovely manners and were so well behaved throughout the day.
