Fifth and Sixth Class School Tour
by Sean Ryan On Thursday 24th May 2012, fifth and sixth class went on their school tour. Our teacher, Mr. O’Sullivan, and fifth class teacher, Ms Costigan came with us. Firstly we went to Kerry County Museum. Upstairs in the museum we saw records and displays of the history of Kerry. We saw plenty of archaeological artefacts in the museum. We got to do an archaeological dig where we used shovels and brushes to dig up hidden artefacts. We also walked around displays of medieval Kerry and we were given clipboards and we had to answer questions! The weather was good enough for us to go outside to have our lunch in the park. We then got back on the bus and went to Tralee Aqua Dome. Firstly we played Crazy golf and some of the holes were really good fun. We went into the pool after the golf. There were some really good water slides, a wave pool and Jacuzzis. We all had a great time but we were all very tired getting back on the bus. Mr O’Sullivan entertained us on the journey home with some very good card tricks. We arrived back in Cashel at around 6pm after a really enjoyable day. Thanks to our teachers and school for organising such a good trip for us.
