Felt Making Workshop
By Fearghail O' D. and Eoghan M, 4th class On Monday 11th of October, we were making felt for the Cashel Art Festival. The women who was helping us was named Emma. First, Emma gave out bamboo and plastic mats with nets. Then Emma gave out coloured wool to each table. Then the people with bamboo put the wool into the bamboo and started to roll it. Then while the people with the bamboo are rolling, the people with the plastic mats got the wool and put it in to a square. We then put a net around it. While we were doing that others were boiling water in the kettle. They put the boiled water into black and white tubs. We got soap and a cloth. The class started to wet the wool with a small bit of soap. Then we dried wool and the tables with towels and some tissue. It was fascinating doing felt work. We did it in our classroom. We took some pictures of the felt work. Then we helped Emma clean up then it was home time and we all went home.[gallery link="file" orderby="ID"]
