Cross Country Results

By Ross Bonnar On September 28^th the school running team went to Dr. Crokes running club in Thurles for the annual cross country Athletics championships.  2,000 girls and boys from primary schools across Tipperary participated in a great day of athletics.  We were very lucky that the day was good. We left the school at 10 o clock. When we got off the bus, we walked to the running club. Third and fourth class were racing first. When we arrived they got something to eat then got changed into shorts. They came first in the team event. Kevin Gayson Molloy came 4^th Cian Moloney came 5^th Tom Reilly came 8^th and Aaron Moloney came 11^th. After a long wait it was time for the fifth and sixth class race. Mr. Ryan gave us our numbers, took the team for a warm up then we made our way to the starting line. Ross Bonnar came 2^nd Eoghan Connolly came 4^th Scott Scanlon came 22^nd and Jamie O Keeffe came 24^th. Fifth and sixth class came third in the team event. On the way back Mr Ryan bought us ice cream. We arrived back at the school at two o clock. It was a great result because all 51 runners did very well.  We all finished the race which is no surprise as we were training everyday at break time for the last 4 weeks.
