Couch to 5K WEEK 7 (PDF of week 7 plan at the bottom of the letter)
Hello everyone,
Welcome to Week 7 of our St. John the Baptist Parent Association Couch to 5K. You have completed 6 weeks of training. Only 2 weeks until our Grand Finale St. Patrick’s Week Couch to 5K.
Strength and Flex
Now that you have taken some really positive action to improve your health and mood, you might be interested in doing exercises that will improve your strength and flexibility.
The Strength and Flex programme is a fun 5-week plan that requires no special equipment. It works because it starts gently and builds up your fitness gradually, making the challenge feel achievable from day 1. The aim is to gradually build up your fitness levels so that by the end of the 5-week plan you'll be feeling stronger, more flexible, and full of energy to go about your daily life. Improving your flexibility can improve your posture, reduce aches and pains, and lower your risk of injury. Seeing your fitness improve can also help boost your self-confidence and relieve stress. Click here for the link to the plan.
New routes
This week’s plan involves 3 sessions that are all the same. Have a go this week at trying to do a different route for each session.
Best of luck for week 7!
