We held a coffee morning today to raise funds for two organisations, Hospice and Daffodil Day. We also used the occasion to invite the family of our dear SNA, Una Kinnane who passed away last summer, to come to our school. In December, we held a colour day to raise funds to purchase a memory bench for Una and we were absolutely overwhelmed by the response from our school community. We raised enough to purchase two benches and it was a lovely occasion for Una's mother, Peg, sister, Anna and daughter, Sarah to come to our school and get a glimpse of her life with us at St John the Baptist BNS. To our speakers who spoke so eloquently, our SNAs who helped get the hall ready and our caretaker, Con who is helping us create a garden area, a sincere thanks.
