CASHEL OVERCOME TEMPLEMORE IN WINDY CONDITIONS

On Thursday, 5th May, the school’s U13 team travelled to Holycross to play a major game against Templemore.  With the new jerseys and shorts, the team felt very determined to go out and get a result.  The match started at 1 o’ clock.  From the throw in, Cashel got the ball and put pressure on Templemore.  Within two minutes Cashel got a vital goal from Daniel Wade which Cashel needed because they were against the wind.  Cashel didn’t release the pressure as they went into half time with a score line of 3-4 to 0-3.  No substitutions were made at half time.   We started off great again in the second half with more quick scores from Ross Bonnar and Jack Price, but it wasn’t just Cashel scoring as Templemore’s tally rose to 3-4. Templemore weren’t dominating, though, as our tally rose to 5-8 – the final score.  It was an outstanding win for Cashel and it ensures that we go into the next round. The starting team was: Adam Skeffington [goal keeper],Lee Barry, Brian Fitzpatrick, Brandon Duffy, Colin Ryan, Ciarán Quinn, Eoghan Connolly, Alex Marshall, Ross Bonnar, Patrick Fahy, Jack Price and Daniel Wade.
