On Thursday the 10 of November, Cashel played Cahir in Rosegreen in the Roinn B U-13 County Semi Final. Captain Michael Morrisey went up to the referee and won the toss. The ref threw up the ball and Cashel won it but Cahir stole the ball, ran up the field and scored an early goal. They followed this up with a point to take an early lead. Soon after, however, Murragh McDermott scored a goal to put Cashel back in it. Cashel pulled away with some well taken scores and the half time score was 1-7 to to 1-1. Cahir came back with a fighting second half start but Cashel kept their heads held high scoring 3-3 in the second half. Cahir did not give up and scored a great late goal but it was too late. Dean O' Brien kicked out the ball and the ref blew the final whistle. The final score saw Cashel victorious on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-3. Cashel now go on to play Powerstown in Munroe next Thursday at 12.30pm in the County Final.
