by Jake McCarthy and Luke White 27th September 2012 On Friday 27th September 2012, the U13s went to Duneske Centre in Cahir to play Cahir at 1 p.m. The U13s were really up to the game. The starting team was Dean O’B. in goal, Luke W. and Ricky L. [backs] and centre backs were Dylan B. (who was captain) and Fearghail O’D. and Tommy F. Centre of mid field were Gabriel and Kevin. The half forward line was Aaron, Jak Hays and Jake McC. and up front were Tomás and Evan. We had a great start with points from Tomás and Evan. We were lucky with a great save from Dean, but we came back with another point from Gabriel. Mr Ryan was very happy with our first half performance and we really thought we could win this. Cahir were not put down and got two goals out of nowhere and our confidence was lowering fast. But we still had something in us and we put pressure on Cahir and finally got a goal from Evan Hynes. The match ended in a draw and score was Cashel 1-3, Cahir 2-0.
