5th Class in St John the Baptist BNS have been working on the Blue Star Programme for the past year. This is a project run by the European Movement Ireland which aims to help children learn about how the European Union works. 5th Class invited MEP Phil Prendergast to help us celebrate a late Europe Day. Phil also spoke to the children about how the EU actually works and how their decisions have affected us here in Ireland. The main point of the project is to realise that although we are Ireland, we are also European.
