6th class attend Indoor Hurling Blitz in Golden
by Brandon Duffy On the 15th of February 2011, ten boys from sixth class went to play an indoor hurling blitz in Golden. We left on he bus with Mr O Loughlin at ten o’clock and arrived at twenty past ten. After that we got togged out and Mr O’Loughlin named out the team. First we played New Inn and had a handy win over them. Then we played Knockavilla and we beat them also. We then played Ayle and lost against them. We still had two matches left to play. The first of those two was a match against Clonoulty. It was a good tough match between the two teams. As soon as one team got a goal, it was matched at the other end of the field. In the end it was a draw. We had one last match against Rossmore. We beat them and that was the end of the blitz. We got a plaque for participation. It was a great day and I enjoyed it. The ten boys were Jack Price, John Tadgh Murphy, Patrick Fahy, Conn Bonnar, Colin Ryan, Ciaran Davern, Alex Marshell, Daniel Wade(C), Adrian Mcguire and Brandon Duffy
