5th Class Heritage Project On the War of Independence
This report is on the 5th Class Heritage Project. Their project was on the War of Independence. by Matthew Hewitt In November 2010, 5th class stared a project on the War of Independence. On the November 5th we went to a workshop on Guns, Uniforms, and Personalities of the Period. A few weeks later 5th started the class group project. Every person got separated into different groups. Fifth started the project after the Christmas holidays. Sometime between January and March a woman named Julia Walsh came to see 5th on the project and that they must do a display with their writing on the war. For the display, 5th did the British storming in to Croke park on Bloody Sunday. On the 9th of March 2011, 5th went to the museum to see to other projects and find out how won what. They left for the museum at 10:30 a.m. and arrived at 11:00 a.m. 5th won a prize for being the most highly commend. Fifth did a superb job on the project and did their school proud.
